The Metro connection
Hauz Khas Station on the Yellow Line is the fastest way in or out of the area, roughly 1.5 km from the main market. Shared e-rickshaws run continuously between the two, usually costing ₹10–20 per person and taking about 8–10 minutes.
Autos, cabs, and ride-hailing
For anywhere the Metro doesn't reach directly, ride-hailing apps work reliably in the area, and a small auto stand near the market handles short local trips without needing an app at all.
Late at night, autos thin out — ride-hailing apps are the more dependable option after around 11 PM.
What's actually walkable
Most day-to-day errands — groceries, laundry, pharmacy, printing — sit within a 10-minute walk of most PGs in the area. A vehicle mostly becomes useful for reaching the Metro or travelling beyond Hauz Khas and Green Park.
